Grew up in the Midwest, learned 3 languages as I traveled multiple countries in the east and Caribbean. Avid volunteer with animal rescue & an active volunteer with the American Red Cross. Currently live near ASU for the vibrant life and ease of commute between work in Scottsdale and attending classes part time.

I guess my mom was right instead of settling down with a women I keep finding new things to study as a Life-long student, but I promise mom this is the last thing I need to study 🙃 - or is it ?

Having said that here is some highlights of my training:

I have over 3000 hrs in attendance in over 4 different Nationally Accredited (by US Dept of Education Programs) specific to AlternativeMedicine in Chinese & Japanese Medicine. I am an Arizona Licensed Acupuncturist with scope of practice commensurate with my standard plus extra training and externships: Electro-Acupuncture, Physical Medicine/ Cosmetic Facial Acupuncture/ Stem Cell Therapies internship/ Meditation Spiritual Sufi India training/ Botanical Medicine.

I have been told my touch tends to be more on the gentle, light & pecific side. My movements cautious, slow & calculated.

Although, I am open to explore and try to treat anything that can make sense; my main areas of treatment are as follows: Preventive Acupuncture for Staying Well, Acupuncture for Relaxation, Acupuncture for Pain Management & Acupuncture for Facial or Cosmetic Rejuvenation. I'm big on not misleading anyone which is why I encourage new clients with me to take me up on a free 10 min phone consultation just so we're both on the same page with expectations.

MY PASSIONS

I am a very energetic person and am fascinated with the depth of Chinese Japanese Medicine through its long history and applications and emphasis on Natural Medicine as a Alternative to conventional synthetic surgical Medicine as is practiced as a norm in the west.

WHY MODERN REMEDY

I was looking for wellness centers up North in Scottsdale to work part-time. In my search came upon Modern Remedy- Upon further research, I found a lot of people seemed to like Melissa's treatments and personality so I reached out to Melissa & was offered a chance to be part of the Team.

I am excited to have an opportunity to grow with like-minded people as Melissa and her team to be of service to the Modern Remedy community.
